Merle felt ball rug. A rug made from 100% virgin wool – you could hardly wish for anything more cozy and homely for your beloved home! The Berlin-based company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, each rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are shorn for wool production, and the support of a manufacturing workshop in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and felted into balls using a patented process. These felt balls then come together – essentially as a wool-felt mosaic – to create a complete wool rug with its own distinctive color pattern: the Merle felt ball rug in soft salmon pink. For the largest formats, myfelt has up to 50,000 felt balls individually sewn by hand, always with strict adherence to fair trade and European occupational safety guidelines: each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" label as a corresponding certification.
