Carl Felt Ball Rug. A rug made from 100% virgin wool – one could hardly wish for anything cozier and more homely for their beloved home! The Berlin company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, each rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are sheared for wool production, and the support of a manufacturing facility in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and felted into balls using a patented process. These felt balls then come together – essentially forming a wool-felt mosaic – to create a complete wool rug with its own characteristic color patterns, such as the Carl Felt Ball Rug in subtle gray natural tones. For the largest sizes, myfelt hand-sews up to 50,000 felt balls individually, always with strict adherence to fair trade and European labor protection standards: Each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" label as a corresponding certification.
