The Berlin-based company myfelt is fully committed to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable carpets. Essentially, each carpet is based on two things: Many New Zealand sheep that are sheared for wool production as well as the support of a manufactory in Nepal. There the wool is sorted, washed, dyed and rolled into balls in a patented process. Finally, a complete wool carpet is created from these felt balls - as a wool-felted mosaic, so to speak - each with its own characteristic color pattern: the Alva felt ball carpet in mysterious night blue. For the largest formats, myfelt has up to 50,000 felt balls individually sewn by hand, always in strict compliance with economic fair trade and European occupational health and safety requirements: Each felt ball rug bears a "GoodWeave" seal as a corresponding certificate.
