The wood finish is spruce with an old wood look, resembling wood that has been stored for 100 years. It features a rustic structured surface, and as a natural product, cracks and knots are intentional. The cover color is brown, and the unusual surface treatment gives the wood a vintage appearance. The wood is limed, sanded black, and lacquered with clear varnish.

The thermo spruce undergoes a specially developed process where the wood is steamed with high heat and dried simultaneously, completely without chemical additives, making it 100% organic. This process makes the wood much harder. The wood is sourced from sustainable cultivation and comes only from surrounding sawmills in Bavaria.

This bed is only suitable for slatted frames with a fixed frame. It uses solvent-free, water-based varnishes. Matching support slats for slatted frames can be ordered as accessories, starting from size 140x200 cm with a center bar.
