The wood finish is spruce, and as a natural product, it may have intentional cracks and knots. The modern skid base has a matte black lacquer finish, while the rustic structured surface gives it an old wood appearance, resembling wood that has been stored for 100 years.

The unique surface treatment provides a vintage look, and the wood is limed, sanded black, and lacquered with clear varnish. The wood is sourced from nearby sawmills in Bavaria and comes from sustainable cultivation.

For sizes 140x200 cm and above, a middle bar is included. The rub resistance is over 100,000 rub cycles for imitation leather and 30,000 rub cycles for textured fabric.

The THERMO spruce undergoes a specially developed process where it is steamed with high heat and dried simultaneously, without chemical additives, making it 100% organic and much harder.

Matching support slats for roll-up grids can be ordered separately. The bed is finished with solvent-free water-based varnishes, and each bed is unique.
