KooKoo Songbirds

An extraordinary and particularly beautiful way to measure time: Every hour on the hour the original song of one of 12 native songbirds is heard - from the blackbird to the nightingale to the oriole. When dusk falls, the birds go to "their nest" to sleep: A built-in light sensor automatically switches off the voices in the dark. The colourful and detailed illustrations on the dial are by renowned bird cartoonists: Kilian Mullarney (Ireland) and Dan Zetterström (Sweden). An informative accompanying brochure also describes the special features, voices and habitats of the 12 birds depicted.
