A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, her husband Giulio Castelli's company, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic container system is not only found in museums. It is often used as a nightstand beside the bed or as a stackable shelf in the bathroom and kitchen. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only partially stackable. The sliding doors, elegantly designed to match the round shape with their carved grip hole, are a clever touch: a narrow chest of drawers can hardly be more space-saving and stylish.
