Componibili container furniture. A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a bedside table or as a stackable shelf in the bathroom and kitchen. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only conditionally stackable. The sliding doors, designed to fit the round shape, feature a carved grip hole, making them both space-saving and elegant—hardly any narrow chest of drawers can compete. Kartell offers this design classic by Anna Castelli-Ferrieri in various heights, with two, three, or four closing compartments or elements.
