Componibili container furniture. One design stands out: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri created this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she had no idea it would become a design classic, part of the permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a bedside table or as a stackable shelf in bathrooms and kitchens. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only conditionally stackable. The sliding doors, designed to match the round shape, feature a carved handle hole for easy access: a narrow chest of drawers could hardly be more space-saving and elegant. Kartell offers this design classic by Anna Castelli-Ferrieri in two different heights, with two or three compartments or elements that can be closed. In addition to the round container system with two elements, Anna Castelli-Ferrieri also designed the much more versatile and stackable square Componibili containers for Kartell.
