Overview of the bookshelf
This model is a flexible bookshelf designed in a modern industrial style. This means that this wall shelf adds a certain charm to the space where it is placed. The piece of furniture is made from fire-retardant PVC and is available in different sizes. It can be delivered in black, cobalt blue, burgundy, white, and aluminum.
Who designed the bookshelf?
The design of this piece of furniture is credited to the Israeli designer Ron Arad. The son of a painter and a photographer, he spent his youth in Tel Aviv and later studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. After completing his studies, Ron Arad soon began designing unconventional furniture. However, it wasn't until 1981 that he opened his own design office in London with Caroline Thorman. He gained international attention when he presented a machine that pressed chairs into cubes for the tenth anniversary of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Ron Arad began working on the serial production of furniture in the late 1980s. His furniture pieces often impress with their seamless construction and overall light appearance.
