Kähler Omaggio vase

Omaggio Vase. Its intuitively natural line, characterized by a maximum level of reduction, tempts one to associate the vase design with Japan; however, it is entirely of Danish origin. Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft create a family of flower vases in various sizes for the Danish brand Kähler Design, each tailored for a preferred length of cut flowers. The simple striped decor of the vase gains its distinctive dynamism from the slight variation in stripe width combined with their irregular arrangement on the rounded ceramic shape. Furthermore, Kähler Design applies a special shimmer to the high-gloss glazed ceramic bodies of the Omaggio Vase, enhancing the stripes alongside the already striking black: the metallic silver tone competes with the shimmering mother-of-pearl hue for attention.
