Kähler Omaggio Vase

Omaggio Vase. Its intuitively natural line, characterized by a maximum reduction, tempts one to associate the vase design with Japan, yet it is thoroughly of Danish origin: Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft create a family of differently sized flower vases for the Danish brand Kähler Design, each tailored to a preferred length of cut flowers. The simple striped decor of the flower vase gains its distinctive dynamism from the slight variation in stripe width combined with their irregular arrangement on the rounded ceramic form. Furthermore, Kähler Design applies a special shimmer to the glossy glazed ceramic bodies of the Omaggio Vase for the stripes, alongside the already striking black: the metallic silver tone competes with the shimmering mother-of-pearl hue for attention.
