Ruutu (Finnish for square) is a series of mouth-blown glass vases designed by the Bouroullec brothers. The design impresses with its geometric shapes and flat surfaces. The simple exterior allows the vases to appear fluid. Behind the iittala Ruutu vase lies a complex manufacturing process: seven of iittala's finest artisans take a total of 24 hours to create these mouth-blown objects. The high art of iittala's glassblowing is expressed here! Whether displayed individually or as a set, it creates a fantastic sight.
