Arne Jacobsen, the artist who loved organic forms, originally wanted to become a painter and preferred to use his drawing talent for botanical sketches. Born in 1902, the designer and architect followed his father's advice and studied architecture. His love for organic forms has remained with him and can be found in all his designs, particularly in the silhouettes of the furniture he created for the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen.
