Artemide Nessino

Nessino table lamp. Reviving the zeitgeist of the "Sixties": Giancarlo Mattioli designed its big sister "Nesso" for the Italian brand Artemide in 1965, which won a series of design awards. Its mushroom shape is certainly not intended as a cultural cross-reference to the psychedelics that were widespread at the time, especially since the previously very successful original design was translated into a current material language that is beyond all doubt in 2003. Rather, the mushroom-shaped design ensures soft, diffuse light emission through the "mushroom hat" and direct (reading) light onto the base of the luminaire. Whether as an iconic bedside lamp or as a mood light in the living room - no one can pass by the Nessino table lamp by Artemide without admiration.
