Eclisse table lamp. Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1967 for the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide, this technically advanced small sculpture features a rotating outer three-quarter sphere reflector that allows for the desired brightness of the user-replaceable light source (E 14 socket, max. 25 W) to shine through, functioning like an eyelid in reverse. Vico Magistretti drew inspiration for his sophisticated lamp design from the moon and its waxing and waning phases. With its stable, almost hemispherical base and a cord switch, the Eclisse table lamp stands securely on any side table—even on a nightstand. Particularly as a reading lamp by the bed, the individually adjustable reflector provides perfect light for both the reader and the sleeping partner. A refined design classic from Artemide.
