Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box
Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box
I would appreciate any tips/experience/recommendations for the right setup. I have a Samsung TV Q7 (2018) and a Samsung Soundbar Q80R, plus an Nvidia Shield, a Nintendo Switch and a BlueRay player. Currently, all "playback devices" are connected to the soundbar, which in turn is connected to the TV - as widely recommended. Do I now better connect the "Hue Play HDMI Sync Box"...? a) between the playback device and the soundbar, or b) between the soundbar and the TV? Ultimately, I just don't want to lose anything in terms of picture (4k, HDR+...) or sound (Atmos...) quality.
You will inevitably lose quality because the Sync Box does not support HDR+ /Dolby Vision (only pass-trough, but then the lights do not work). You can connect it between the player and the soundbar, but then you have to activate ARC passthrough in the app.
