Question about Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box
So HDMI CEC does not work for me, it is activated on the Samsung tv and when I switch the tv to standby the sync box also goes to standby but when I switch the tv on again the sync box remains mute.... Now I was wondering what is wrong with leaving the sync box on all the time? If I leave it switched on, it reliably starts and stops the synchronisation of the Hue lamps. The sync box just stays switched on all the time. I haven't tried switching on and off with a USB cable yet, because all my cables are too short... Since I currently use IPTV and Netflix directly via the TV, it doesn't work with the sync box, now I'm thinking of getting an NVIDIA shield tv box. Or do you have a better idea?
Netflix worked via upc without any problems. I have the problem when setting up the wifi, sny box sees the wifi but after entering the pw, the sync box does not connect to the wifi upc. This means that the synchronisation keeps failing. By switching the box on and off (which works perfectly with samsung via hdmi), it ayncs again for about 30 minutes. well, whol brought an unfinished product to the market too early.
