In a baby carrier, the baby can always assume an optimal posture: legs slightly spread and tucked (the so-called "spread-squat position"), with a rounded back. Proper carrying supports healthy physical development, especially of the spine and hips. Last but not least, carrying is practical – you have both hands free for siblings or to manage daily tasks.
