So does this go from a laptop with HDMI to a screen with a USB C port?
From the product's operating instructions:
"The HDMI plug can only be used with the output device (e.g. TV, monitor, beamer). The USB-C plug can only be used with the signal source (e.g. notebook, PC)."

Unfortunately, this application does not work for me. No matter whether laptop or Playstation... HDMI-> USB-C on the screen results in neither the laptop nor the screen recognising a connection or source
@Therealforrer have you bought the cable and does it work? I have the same requirement, from a PC with HDMI (out) to a screen or docking with USB-C (in). Does this cable really work?
Correct. Works perfectly from an M1 Max MacBook Pro.
