I have this extractor connected to the Apple TV 4K to run the audio signal through a Bose home cinema (optical). With most content from iTunes or Netflix, the audio signal is not extracted properly and only the background music comes through the system, but not the spoken text. Is it possible that the extractor is not suitable for this purpose?

The Delock is not suitable for BOSE devices. I can recommend the Kanex Digital Audio Adapter, the BOSE system then does the 5.1 without any problems.
