Singlemode fiber optic cable. Cable length: 20 m. Simplex. Connectors: CLIK/APC - LC/APC. LC connector. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, characterized by low insertion loss. It is one of the most common types of fiber optic connectors. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic. Due to its compact design, the LC connector allows for high packing density, making it frequently used for fiber optic switches. APC - Angled Physical Contact. For connectors with the APC designation, the end face is not only convex but the normal of the fiber end face is also tilted a few degrees relative to the fiber axis. This design allows reflected light from the core to be refracted out into the air through the cladding, thus preventing interference with data transmission.
