The cable works perfectly for me to connect an old television (Metz Corum) to the PC, which needs exactly this wiring from the SCART plug. Picture quality is also perfect.

Like everyone else, this didn't work for me out of the box. I tried it with a VCR, a Super Nintendo, and a Sega Saturn. Nothing worked. Being a fan of Delock generally, I knew *something* had to work, in a narrow use case, so I opened up both sides to see how it is wired.
So, VGA requires separated horizontal and vertical sync signals in addition to the red, green, and blue channels (and their respective ground wires). This product routes the H & V sync pins on the VGA side to pins 10 (horizontal) and 12 (vertical) on the SCART connector. The thing is, almost nothing out there that I've ever seen puts separate H & V sync signals on any pins---usually it's "sync on composite" or "composite sync/CSYNC", on pin 20. There is a chance that if one were to move pin 10 to pin 20, the VGA monitor/projector might (apparently sometimes but not always) accept a CSYNC signal, but probably not sync that's mixed with composite video (which is what goes on a yellow AV cinch cable).
To add insult to injury, this thing ignores audio completely, so you need to get it off the source device beforehand.

Scart - VGA cable:
As my fellow customers have already written: No function. It even blocked the onscreen display on the monitor for me.... !??
:-D
BUT --> Service case recorded, credit note received within 5 min.

Tested with two different VHS players, each connected to a beamer, a TV and a PC monitor. Result: I get no picture. This product is as useless to me as no cable.
(Due to a user comment here, I also tested it in the direction of VGA -> Scart, but there is no picture there either. According to the manufacturer, the signal only goes in the other direction anyway).

We wanted to connect a DVD player to our beamer (with VGA connections). It doesn't work. I am wondering what this cable is for, or for what use. Thank you very much for any advice... I am wondering ;)
