You don't need an installation CD any more, a USB stick is enough. There are fewer and fewer devices that even have corresponding drives. PKC --> https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/questionandanswer/was-bedeutet-medium-pkc--126575 https://www.heise.de/download/product/windows-media-creation-tool

Take a USB stick with at least 8GB and the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. Use this to create the installation medium. On the PC to be installed, simply boot from the USB stick. https://www.heise.de/download/product/windows-media-creation-tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo8zGEOvgpE

At first, it was thought that Windows 10 would remain for a few years, which it will (2025). However, with Windows 11, PC users were forced to switch to a new system. Allegedly because of security, everything must now run via TMP chip and only selected processors are allowed. It is almost a new indictment of Microsoft that in the context menu, the taskbar or other settings, everything is hidden even better, or you find all the shit in a different place. You can't drag a desktop shortcut into the taskbar anymore. and I already had the first blue screen. Windows Explorer has been around for over 40 years and still hangs or freezes when copying data to an external HDD as soon as you plug in a USB stick. On the whole, just lick the design and hope everyone likes it. Well, for such an operating system you should actually still get money back. Many unnecessary apps are simply installed. Internet Explorer 11, the only browser that still accepts Java Script, is only opened with a trick in the Edge browser. That means you have to save certain pages in Edge, which then open in the Edge browser via Internet Explorer 11 and you then have to click away a message saying you should better use the Edge browser. Every Windows can be cracked, even the beautiful Windows 11. Perhaps Microsoft will respond to certain user wishes, that maybe there will finally be a real upgrade. They could have stuck with Windows 10! Then you get used to Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and now Windows 11 for a long time and each time you look for the settings in a different place. This doesn't make sense in this day and age where you don't have time to search. To be honest, Windows 10 was very good for me and still is. Now maybe it's time to finally let go and install a Linux and save energy, because there are never as many services running in the background as with Windows. What's next, the Windows 11 Swatch or soon Windows 12? The only positive thing is: You can still install the Classic Shell 4.3.1. program, which still opens the desired start menu in Windows 7 mode and you can access all settings very easily. We'll see how long that lasts. Maybe it's possible that Windows doesn't like all third-party programs and therefore and therefore sometimes shows a blue screen or gives you the finger for it. I'm not a programmer, but it should be possible for someone here in Switzerland to have the power to create a simple yet secure operating system, to create a simple and yet secure operating system. That should also cost something. You can't always rely on the big software giants. and certainly not on the data collector-in-chief Microsoft. Happy New Year 2022 to all.

You're right - I haven't seen any real improvements since Windows 7.
