I am a PC user, not a tester.... I am also patient.... It seems to me that the MSB 3 15`` is very fast, especially when drawing and rendering. All in all, my needs are fully covered. However, I don't do any gaming. Hope it helps you

Unfortunately, remote diagnosis is always a bit tricky - for example, is the refresh rate (Hz) set correctly? Do different DP cables behave differently?

Yes, the screen can be charged in tablet mode. There is a power connector on the bottom (at the connection).
The connection is the same, but you have to consider, that the Surface book needs under load more power than the power supply can deliver.
