Hello I bought the Icy Box IB-1232CL-U3. But I can't plug any hard drives directly into it. Neither 2.5" nor 3.5". Do I need any adapters for this? Who can please answer this for me? Many thanks in advance.

The Icy Box IB-1232CL-U3 works as standard with 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drives without an adapter. The hard drives are simply inserted through the flap provided for this purpose.

Good day My DeskTop Pavilion from 2008 has given up the ghost. Now I would like to save the hard disc. Is the Icy Box IB-1232CL-U3 the right solution? I've never done anything like this before. In the past maybe on a 3.5 inch disc or something. Looking forward to a reliable answer. Thanks in advance.

Hello, this worked perfectly for me. I copied 2 4T discs from 3.5 to SSD. It took all night. Please check the specifications carefully.

When I plug in my 3.5" hard drive, I can hear it start to spin. But after about 5 seconds it stops spinning again. I can't see it on my MacBook Air. Am I doing something wrong or is the device defective? I took it out of the original packaging 5 minutes ago. I have also tried it with two other 3.5" hard drives.

That sounds like a defect - either the hard drive or the device
