The vapor deposition-based multi-layer coating ensures that both the front and back of the filter are coated, preventing loss of contrast and brilliance, as well as ghosting and double images. The ultra-thin wide-angle design prevents vignetting and can remain permanently on the lens without significantly extending the lens mount. A protected front lens saves expensive repair costs. The filter is made of optical glass, with a black anodized metal filter holder and black-painted inner edges to avoid reflections. The edge sealing protects against dirt, and the frame maintains its shape despite temperature fluctuations.
