Exsys GmbH USB 2.0 C connector to serial RS-422/485 cable (FTDI chip)

The USB-C to Serial Cable EX-2346 provides a serial RS-422/485 high-performance UART 16C550 port. It is designed to expand a PC, workstation, or server with an additional serial port via the USB 1.1, 2.0, or 3.2 bus with a Type-C connector. This makes it the perfect solution for connecting barcode scanners, card readers, scales, and more. With easy installation, the system does not need to be opened, and the cable can be installed while the system is running. Additionally, a 9-pin adapter from socket to 5-pin terminal block is included.

The EX-2346 supports COM port retention, which maintains the COM port settings for serial devices when plugging and unplugging. The assigned COM port values are stored and automatically reassigned correctly after plugging and unplugging. This also applies when switching between different USB ports.
