This is made possible by the comparatively large diaphragm area of the two drivers used in the Oberon 3 and their particularly wide dispersion characteristics. While similarly sized bookshelf speakers typically feature 165 mm woofers and 19 or 20 mm tweeters, the Oberon 3 utilizes a 180 mm mid-bass driver and a 29 mm tweeter. Thanks to the approximately 15% larger diaphragm area, the drivers can produce a certain sound pressure with significantly less displacement. As a result, the Oberon 3 sounds extremely dynamic while presenting all types of music or film soundtracks in a relatively effortless and ear-friendly manner.
