Ranging from books and music to films, the Swiss retailer Ex Libris is now offering about 600,000 products via Galaxus. More than 1.5 million articles are now available on galaxus.ch.

We’ve added about 600,000 Ex Libris products to our shop. This cooperation with the Swiss retail company allows us to offer an even wider range of books, audiobooks, music, video games, toys and movies to our customers.

Our merchant programme made it possible to include the major part of Ex Libris’s product range in our shop: Since October 2016, selected retailers have the chance to offer their products on galaxus.ch. The 600,000 new products that have been added to our shop are the top-selling Ex Libris products.

«We’re delighted to expand our market presence by joining Galaxus’s marketplace,» Daniel Röthlin, managing director of Ex Libris, explains. «Galaxus has a broad reach, which is especially interesting for us. This gives us access to a huge number of potential new clients,» he adds. In 2017, more than 1 million Swiss residents made at least one order from Digitec Galaxus.

In the last few weeks, the Ex Libris products have been added to galaxus.ch bit by bit. This is the logical next stage in Ex Libris’s omnichannel approach, as Röthlin explains: «Our products have been available on more than our own platforms ever since the launch of the Migros pick-up service PickMup. The cooperation with Galaxus adds another promising channel to our sales strategy.»

Third Migros subsidiary to join the merchant programme

After 20,000 Globus products – including a range of deli food and clothing – as well as M-Way’s range of e-bikes were implemented, Ex Libris is the third subsidiary of Migros to join the Galaxus merchant programme. Further popular partners include pet supplies retailers Zooplus and Qualipet, home appliance specialists Kaufsignal, baby product experts 4mybaby, outdoor and adventure shop Campz and bike retailer Bikester.

Having included the Ex Libris range, Galaxus now features a total of over 1.5 million products – that’s three times more than at the beginning of 2017. «Our aim is to achieve the best possible combination of a broad product range, maximum availability, fast delivery times and attractive prices,» Florian Teuteberg, CEO of Digitec Galaxus, explains.
