Are you also at war with white clothes? I'm punished with stains every time I wear them. Biros ink is particularly annoying. You can get rid of it with this simple method.

Always the same thing. As soon as I put on a white top, I magically attract stains. The most recent example: a biro stain. How I managed to do this is beyond me, as I also work paperless at home. The stain has to be removed as quickly as possible so that it doesn't dry out. As I don't have a stain remover to hand at the moment - I swear by the cleaning line from Dr Beckmann - I have to find another solution. This reminds me of a cleaning hack I heard about recently.

Everything you need for this:

How it works:

To prevent the stain from drying out, I start straight away. I grab the hairspray from my bathroom cupboard and spray it all over the pen stain.

The fabric should really soak up the hairspray.

I leave the whole thing in the washbasin for a quarter of an hour. When my timer rings after 15 minutes, I start to get nervous. Is the stain really gone? Yes, it is. To get the spray residue out of the blouse, I rinse it out with lukewarm water. And I'm thrilled. I'm definitely adding this hack to my cleaning repertoire.

While the hairspray dries, I leave my wet blouse in the sink. After 15 minutes, the stain is actually gone.

Why does hair lacquer work? To remove biros stains, you need a dye-dissolving agent. Alcohol, which is contained in most hairsprays, is supposedly one of the best solvents when it comes to biros ink.

This cleaning hack has worked for me. How do you get rid of biros stains? Let me know and leave your tip in the comments column. <p
