Train your brain outdoors: with these new products

The sun is finally beckoning. You'll find new outdoor equipment in the shop to match. This will not only make your wardrobe happy, but also your brain: according to a study, exercise is particularly important for your grey matter.
We all know that physical activity is healthy. However, a comprehensive study has provided new findings in this area: it shows in unprecedented detail that even light physical activity has positive effects on the brain. Even a small routine such as a quarter of an hour's walk in the evening can contribute to this, according to the research team.
Balm for the brain
If that's not a reason to get out and about. Our new waterproof equipment helps you to leave the house even in bad weather:
And if it's going to be more than just a 15-minute walk, these shop novelties will turn it into a shoe:
A question of the cortex
But what do exercise and brain health have to do with each other? The German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), which is based at ten different locations and conducts research into diseases of the brain and nervous system,
has investigated this question.
A total of 2550 participants between the ages of 30 and 94 took part in the latest study. An acceleration sensor on the thigh recorded the activity of the test subjects for one week. MRI scans were also taken.
The result: even a small amount of movement had a positive effect on the regions examined. The thickness of the cortex, also known as the cerebral cortex, increased. Why is this important? "Larger brain volumes offer better protection against neurodegeneration than smaller ones," says scientist Fabienne Fox. In other words: diseases such as Alzheimer's are prevented by physical activity.
So it's a good thing that we have so many outdoor items in our shop. So nothing stands in the way of your wellness cure for the cortex in the future. You're welcome
