6 styling tips that will make you look good right away
by Vanessa Kim
Not that you need it, but hardly any woman has anything against looking a little slimmer. With these 6 clothing tricks, you can achieve this without dieting.
I don't go on a crash diet when I've overindulged, which doesn't help anyway, but instead change my diet (in the long term). The catch: the first results are only visible after a few weeks. Instead, I simply cheat myself slim with the right clothes. I'll tell you how to do that here:
Be bold with your cleavage: Because a blouse will actually make you look slimmer. All you have to do is leave the first two or three buttons on the button placket open. The low neckline visually elongates the upper body. This also applies to T-shirts with a V-neck. You should avoid boat necks and round necks if possible.
If your top ends at the widest part of your body, you will draw the attention of the person opposite you to it. The same also applies to the length of your sleeves and skirts. The latter should end where the thighs or calves are narrowest.
Of course, you don't have to do without the trendy look of the summer. But buy clothes with vertical stripes instead of horizontal stripes. These will visually elongate your body. [[image:15289707]]
Different cuts make everyone look fuller - even slim women. These include boxy tops and empire tops, which immediately call out pregnancy bellies. Instead, go for a slightly fitted blouse or a straight-cut shirt. For trousers, I also recommend a straight cut with a waistband that is not too low (muffin top) and not too high (emphasises the hips). If your leg dress ends right at your ankles, you will emphasise the slimmest part of your body.
Fans of round-toed trainers need to be strong. Because they visually shorten the feet and make us appear smaller and wider. On the other hand, (semi-)pointed shoes, which can also be flat, are ideal. However, the ultimate is still a heel. It's best to choose a medium-sized bag, as anything else will look too bulky (if too big) or too bulky (if too small).
Black is beautiful. If you want to lose around three kilos visually, then go for black clothes. So that it doesn't get boring from head to toe, combine the diet colour tone on tone with different fabrics, i.e. denim with silk or velvet with cotton. The monochrome mix of materials makes all the difference.
