This trend is currently conquering the beauty shelves of Glossier, Fenty and Co.

Cherries wherever you look. The stone fruit is currently being used left and right in perfume, skincare and make-up collections. A trend wave that is reviving my youth.
As a teenager, my parents bought me black and white chequered slip-on trainers. Not the classic Vans-style ones. Mine were studded with cherries - like pretty much everything else I wore back then. Earrings? Cherries. Made of rhinestones, of course. I silently carried the fruity motto through my entire wardrobe and combined cherries with cherries with cherries with unrivalled self-confidence. Until recently, my friends and I regularly joked about the good old "cherry times": "Do you remember? We wouldn't wear them today".
Breaking news: we probably would. At least I do. Somehow. The cherry comeback came gradually and hit me unexpectedly from the beauty corner. And you know what? I'm feeling it.

It's not just in fashion that labels have been focussing on a rich cherry red in recent months. In the beauty cosmos, too, all signs point to fruit salad. One cherry collection follows another. A never-ending revival that makes me nostalgic.

The best thing about it is that I can have a good old-fashioned mix without having to flaunt any cherries. Once the hype is over, I happily continue to use my cherry-flavoured perfume or tube of gloss, because unlike my slip-ons, my beauty products rarely make bold statements. They are timeless. At least until they pass their best-before date ...

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
