These 5 beauty products replace your Snapchat filter

Refined skin texture and a radiant complexion? Here are 5 beauty products that will give your Snapchat filters a run for their money.
Especially when it's hot, I want to wear less make-up and above all apply light products. With less make-up, we "unfortunately" also see more of what nature has given us. In other words, skin structure, imperfections and pores. Snapchat and Instagram filters are perfect for remedying this, but are useless in real life. So I automatically have to give more importance to a perfect base when I do my make-up. It makes all the difference. Here are my five real-life filters for a 'blurry' complexion. I admit, these magical products may not conjure up dog ears, golden butterflies or flower crowns on your head, but they do create an (almost) immaculate complexion and refine skin texture. Don't panic, you don't need all five, one of them (or a similar product) is enough.
Real life filter: 5 products to soften your face
The miracle solution is called: giving radiance. The best being with a product with tiny shiny particles. It is then used as a primer and applied directly to the skin before make-up. In this way, the light that comes onto your face is reflected. The effect is similar to that of a soft focus. In a way, you illuminate your whole face and not just certain parts like cheekbones, nose, etc.
Classic primer
A popular backstage product is Mac's "Strobecream" in a cool silver tone. Personally, I use it all over my face in the morning in place of a moisturiser. It shines through foundation and gives an ultra-natural glow and more dimension to the complexion.

Benefit's "That Gal Brightening Face Primer" is slightly pink and, to go with the colour, smells like strawberries. Or so my nose claims.
In contrast, Becca's "Backlight Priming Filter" has a rather light fragrance, a warm golden sheen and therefore also suitable for darker skin.
Eyes that shine
Lavera's "Illuminating Eye Cream" doesn't just banish dark circles. I also sometimes use the all-over pearlescent cream as a primer.
A liquid sky
Liquid illuminators like "Glow Mon Amour Highlighter Drops" work just as well. Your best bet is to mix them into your moisturiser or, if you're brave, smear a few drops of the product all over your face and spread with a brush. It's a bit unusual at first, but once you've applied your foundation on top, nothing will be noticeable.
Beware if you have oily skin or acne: these products don't work magic. Acne, large imperfections or scars cannot be hidden with this method. On the contrary, it can even make them worse. In the case of very oily skin, the desired effect may not be achieved and an hour after application your face may look more like an oily disaster than a filter on two legs. .

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
