The "iO Series 2" toothbrush from Oral-B now with us
If you previously used a manual toothbrush for your daily cleaning, Oral-B wants to make it easier for you to switch to electric dental hygiene with the "iO Series 2".
Do you use a manual toothbrush because electric toothbrushes are too expensive? Or because you can do without an app when cleaning your teeth? Then the "iO Series 2" model might be just the right electric toothbrush for you. Because the device is limited to the essentials.
Oral-B consistently comes out on top in comparisons with its range of electric toothbrushes, most recently in the Stiftung Warentest.
Timer function reminds you of brushing time
The "iO Series 2" has three different cleaning levels, which you can switch between using the single switch on the handset. After switching on, the brush always starts in the "Super gentle" setting, which, according to the manufacturer, is particularly suitable for sensitive teeth and gums
The timer function uses a gentle vibration to remind you of the optimum brushing time of two minutes and the regular change between the quadrants (top right, top left, bottom left and bottom right).
Warns against too much pressure
Many people confuse "brushing" with "scrubbing" when cleaning their teeth and press on the brush too hard. This can damage the gums in the long term. To prevent this from happening with the "iO Series 2", the brush has an integrated sensor that warns you of excessive pressure.
For hygienic reasons, you should replace a manual toothbrush every three months - at least that's what dentists recommend. To make sure you don't forget to change the "iO Series 2" attachments, they lose their colour. You should replace the brush head by then at the latest.
