If there's something that can make our sleep even more rounded, we'll be all ears - because everyone knows that a good night's sleep works wonders. That's why it's worth finding the right pillow as well as your favourite audio book to fall asleep to. Different sleepers from the Wohnen team have tested seven pillows and can tell you which type of sleeper they suit.

We tested seven pillows in each position over a week to see which pillow is best for which sleeping position. Whether on your stomach, back or side - we'll tell you what they're good for. You can also find detailed characteristics of the individual candidates in the individual product descriptions.

Side sleeper

"Sinus" from Billerbeck has the cuddle factor in the side sleeping position - all test subjects agreed on this. Thanks to its long-cut shape, the pillow comfortably supports the head. Our team also liked the fact that it comes with an additional pillowcase so that it can be quickly replaced for washing.

Also great for a little «power nap» in the afternoon.

"Butterfly" from Dor is less cosy in use than "Sinus" - but according to our test subjects, it keeps you lying on your side and therefore had a positive effect on their sleep. Only a washable cover is included here.

Tummy sleeper

Opinions are divided on "Arlene Nature" from Billerbeck. For our testers, it is sometimes fluffy and soft, sometimes it could be even cosier. Where everyone agrees is that the support in the prone position is only mediocre and that the crunching when moving can be disturbing. The "goodie" here is that it is breathable. This made it a reliable companion for our test sleepers, who often get too warm at night.

The "Millet pillow" from Billerbeck scored favourably with our testers across the board because it provides support and promotes comfort in the prone position. On top of that, it invites you to cuddle up.

Compared to «Arlene Nature», this millet pillow managed to stay under my head for nights on end. I also felt great the next morning. I actually sleep without a pillow at all.

Back and side sleepers

"Sananeck" from Dauny has a hard core but a soft shell with a high fluff factor. It feels like a firm pillow to our testers. The hard foam core is on the rounded side, which can also be removed if necessary. All testers think this is great. This makes it easy to adjust the firmness level. The only drawback is that the cover is not removable, so you need an extra cover.

"Deluxe Super Soft 2" from Witschi does well when it comes to pillowcases. There are two of them, both washable. The 2nd cover is padded and quilted. This makes the pillow cosier for our testers. The foam filling inside is of medium firmness for them. A large hollow for the head is incorporated in the centre of the neck support pillow, which ensures a comfortable night's sleep.

"Vita Memory" from Billerbeck strikes a balance between support and lying comfort. The quality of the foam filling stands out in particular for our test subjects: it retains its shape even after long periods of lying on it. This makes it less soft.

For me, a clear favourite for neck problems. I feel less tense in the morning.
