This week sees the start of Milan Design Week, an event that celebrates contemporary design, and with which the whole city is in tune. Photographer Thomas Kunz and I are there at the moment...

Prestigious palaces or inner courtyards hiding a magical garden? It doesn't matter, today some of Milan's places, usually inaccessible to the public, are opening their doors. In fact, many of them are being transformed into travelling showcases for Milan Design Week.

It's easy to see why this annual visit is so important to me. Indeed, when it comes to design, Milan holds the upper hand, making it a feast for the eyes. All the impressions I gather here will feed my thirst for beautiful things for a few months to come. For this 2019 edition, I have chosen to be accompanied by my colleague and photographer Thomas so that he can immortalise these exciting exhibition venues and new products.

The wait is worth it

Milan Design Week today attracted 400,000 visitors, a number that continues to grow. In other words, in the queues, Thomas and I have to take our patience. But that's not a problem after all, as we still have time to write to you to keep you up to date with what's going on. From tomorrow, you can follow us here or on Instagram.
