Release radar: These beauty collections for Valentine's Day are not even sooo kitschy
New cosmetic products are constantly announced, sneak peeked or launched. On my release radar I present you the most exciting news from the beauty world, about which you can be happy or upset. Today the V-Day-Edition.
Valentine's Day collections I usually ignore. Too pink, too cliché, too intentional. However, I'm happy to make an exception for two launches.
"Love Is The Foundation" Brush by It-Cosmetics.
It-Cosmetics releases a new, but similar looking version of their "Love Is The Foundation" brush every year. By far my favorite foundation brush on the market. Thanks to the slightly rounded, soft and tightly bound hairs in the heart-shaped brush head, I apply my makeup with this tool without streaks and almost flawlessly. While the brush head usually stays the same, the handle design changes from year to year. This February, the brand is going for heart-shaped confetti. Last year's model had a liquid-filled handpiece with heart sequins floating around.
"Love Starts With You" by Dose of Colors.
For once, there's no garish pink screaming in my face in this dreamy line from the Dose of Colors brand - and I appreciate it. Instead, who's surprised, the heart theme remains. The collection includes two Heart Cheeks Cream Blush Sticks, an eyeshadow palette, and two "Opposites Attract 2-in-1 Lip Pairs." The latter always combine a matte liquid lipstick with a shimmering gloss.
