Make-up remover wipes? Thanks, but no thanks!

With the 'Yoga Skin' make-up technique, a special mixing of different products, I should get the best out of my skin. I am curious...
"Yoga Skin" has not (yet) become a trend. It is a make-up technique created by make-up artist Sara Hill. Since I first saw the video by beauty youtuber Hatice Schmidt, in which she explains this new make-up technique, I decided to try it myself. But what does Yoga Skin mean? Using this technique, the skin should look radiant from the inside, to stay on topic, it should glow from every pore. A healthy, vital and moisturised skin. I don't look up the basics in Hatice's video, but follow the link in her infobox that takes me to the Instagram profile of Sara Hill where I find a short demo and a description of the technique.
Here's how to do it:
**Point 1:**clean your face as usual and apply a moisturising cream and let it be well absorbed by the skin.
Point 2: apply a light layer of silicone-free primer.
Step 3: Prepare the magic mixture in the right proportions: put three or four drops of your favourite water-based foundation on your hand. Add a drop of face oil, a drop of Strobe Cream and possibly a drop of Glow Drops (liquid illuminant). Golden shades are best. Point 4: mix all the ingredients well and apply to the face. The face should relax, blood circulation should be stimulated and puffiness should disappear. For more coverage, apply several layers until you are satisfied with the result. Between layers, let the compound act and penetrate.
.
**Point 5:**you can now apply concealer (in moderation), only and if necessary. Under the eyes, on pimples or around the nose. Fix the concealer with powder. You can also apply blush or bronzer. Since so many creamy products are used, the finish looks more natural.
Not having a water-based foundation, I had to start my test with a compromise and after applying the primer, I used one with a high water content. I don't usually use my hands to apply make-up, in fact just seeing others do it makes my hair stand on end. However, with a lot of patience and circular movements I managed it. Working without a sponge or brush, I felt that the products stayed on the skin without really penetrating. Initially, I felt my face was too heavy and shiny, good thing it became matt over time. I do not recommend this technique for those with oily skin. In my case, the mixture did not have the desired effect. The glow was there, but the result looked anything but natural. I am a big fan of illuminating products, but the formula did not work on my skin. Maybe it's because I didn't use a water-based foundation, but in the future I prefer a nice fresh one to which I can add a few drops of Strobe Cream instead of 'Yoga Skin'. In my case, less is more. 🕉
As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
