However, my partner and I would like to be a bit more flexible and wash and dry in our own flat. The service

Another 24 hours later, the service partner calls me to confirm some details and clarify any further questions. He asks when I want the whole thing delivered and where. And he wants to know whether all the necessary connections such as sockets and water drainage are available. If not, they might as well bring an electrician with them. We make an appointment, including a two-hour time slot in which the whole thing is to be completed. Chapeau, the post office can take a leaf out of their book with their "between 7:00 and 17:30" delivery.
The delivery
On my chosen delivery date, two friendly gentlemen with a tool belt, washing machine and tumble dryer are at the door at 8 a.m. sharp. I show them where the machines belong. They then take the two oversized parcels to the 2nd floor and start their employees. I can tell at first glance: It's not the first time they've done this. They are a well-rehearsed team who know every move. They remove all the packaging material in the stairwell to minimise the amount of dirt they have to carry into the flat. The connecting piece is also pre-assembled there. If only the removal companies were as careful, I think to myself.
The installation
After that, the two guys from SZ Service Plus GmbH first drive the washing machine to its destination with a trolley. The appliance is connected, followed by the tumble dryer. After just under half an hour, everything is ready. A short test of both appliances follows: Do they work? Is water flowing into the machine? Is it being pumped out correctly? Is everything running smoothly in the tumble dryer too? After another five minutes, the feedback: everything is working as it should. The gentlemen give me the operating instructions and a few basic handling tips. Then their work is done, they tidy up the leftover cardboard and leave.
The conclusion
I am surprised and almost speechless: from the order to the first wash, everything went without a hitch. From contacting SZ Service Plus GmbH as soon as I received the products to arranging an appointment and the installation - everything went smoothly. The only thing I have to criticise is that the drain hose for the dryer and the connecting piece in the washer-dryer set sold by Galaxus are not included. However, the service partner has no influence on this. The bottom line is that I have to recognise without envy that this service is worth every cents, even though I wanted to do everything myself. Especially after a sweaty weekend of moving, a service like this is indispensable.
