My kind of goo: Goodal’s eye patches revitalise tired eyes

I only use face masks if they’re more than just a mini spa feeling. Fortunately, Goodal’s eye patches are far more convincing.
I can count on one hand how many face masks I’ve recommended over the years. Most of them are as useful as a chocolate teapot. The Green Tangerine Vita-C Eye Gel patches from the Korean brand Goodal are one of the few of their kind that have left a lasting impression on me.

The gooey masks remind me of soaked gelatine leaves. The special surface structure on both sides means they don’t slip around. As wafer-thin as they are, they adapt flexibly to your eye contour. And as for shape, they’re like curved drops. One side is pointed so I can comfortably wear them in the inner corner of my eye. The other is wide, rounded and covers the upper part of my cheek.

I use these hydrogel pads two to three times a week. They cool tired eyes and puffiness in the morning in no time at all. Not only that, they make my skin look plump and give it a healthy glow. After that, all I need to do is add green tea and I’m wide awake and in a good mood. I keep the patches in my fridge for an extra freshness boost.
A nice side effect is that the dark pigment spot on my left cheek is gradually getting lighter. I owe this to the vitamin C extracted from green tangerines.
When I work from home, I often wear these transparent masks even during internal video meetings, as they’re hardly noticeable. Sometimes longer than the five minutes the brand recommends.

However, there are three drawbacks. For one, you end up with a bit of waste every time, as the masks aren’t reusable. Secondly, at just under 32 francs, they’re not exactly cheap. But I think they’re definitely worth it as a luxury now and then. And last but not least, they contain fragrances that might not be suitable if you have sensitive skin.
To be honest, I’m not surprised that I’m so taken with these eye pads given that I also like Goodal’s vitamin C serum, which I told you about a while ago. So, if you’re not a fan of masks, you might prefer that.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
