Light up your LEGO model!

Does the following situation sound familiar? You receive a LEGO set, put it together with a lot of enthusiasm and joy and then it sits in a corner. Every now and then you marvel at it. But it's actually standing there uselessly. Make something out of it! Use "Light Stax", the glowing, LEGO-compatible bricks. Christian shows you how in the video above.

The LEGO model

Christian opted for the LEGO set "Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu" - an almost majestic model. It took just a few hours to build. The temple has many beautiful details, such as the shadow theatre or the wooden walls of the forge. But the model is set to become even more impressive!

The little stones from "Light Stax"

As Christian explains in the video, the "Light Stax" brand produces LEGO-compatible bricks that light up. You need a "Power Brick", which contains the battery. This has a micro USB port that you use to recharge the battery plate again and again. All glowing bricks must be connected to each other and indirectly to the "power brick" at the end. This is the only way they light up. You switch the bricks on and off on the battery plate.

Build individual glowing bricks onto the battery plate. This creates a large, glowing tower. In our model, we wanted to light up the large building as well as the two small buildings to the left and right of it. At the same time, we only wanted to have one battery plate and therefore only one "main switch". The connecting cables are ideal for this. You plug one end onto the "power brick" and at the other end you continue to build the glowing bricks on top of each other. Christian needed a pack of extension cables for his model. One pack contains four extension cables (two long and two short).

The luminous building blocks themselves are available in multipacks in a wide variety of colours and sizes. For his project, Christian used three packs, i.e. a total of 56 glowing bricks.

What do your LEGO sets look like that you have built with the glowing bricks from "Light Stax"? We look forward to your video links or photos in the comments or by email to marketing@digitecgalaxus.ch.

I love the strategy game “The Settlers of Catan”, the Ravensburger puzzle “Colourful Cupcakes” and the pink fluffy unicorn that sits on my desk (a birthday present from my workmates). Not only do I have a weakness for toys, I also get excited about good food and comedy TV shows.
