Light is in sight with this accompaniment
I dream of a future without tangled cables. The German label Koziol does too: the "Light To Go" lamp is mobile and cordless.
As a child, I thought the lantern walk on St Martin's Day was magical. I could walk around despite the darkness and light my own way. The mysterious atmosphere had something of all the fairy tales I read in those years. I was only too happy to squint my eyes as I walked so that the silhouettes of the other children disappeared. Not because I didn't like them, but so that I could make the lanterns fly in my imagination. The lights suddenly danced to the song and I was in another world for a moment.
Nowadays, I no longer read the Brothers Grimm stories. And I won't be joining the lantern parade until I have children of my own. But I'm still passionate about light. The wish that the trappings sometimes disappear from the scene has also remained with me: With a lamp, it is important to me that its cable is as inconspicuous as possible. Most models are encased in conventional black or white plastic. Nowadays, however, there are designers who think their designs through to the end. They are turning to attractive textile cables that come in coloured or patterned designs.

I like even more designs that do away with cables altogether. The "Light to go" from Koziol is a great example of this. Whether indoors or outdoors, you can use it to light your way without tangled cables. It is dimmable and has an integrated power bank. You have to charge it, but it lasts for up to fourteen hours afterwards.
Koziol's modern lantern not only meets the needs of aesthetes like me, but also those of every consumer. The brand produces locally so that you can see where the products are made. Since 1927, the company has been one of the few that still manufactures its products in Germany. The Light To Go is part of the "Organic" collection. It is made from cellulose fibres and thermoplastic, which can be recycled.
