Laura's Likes: 7 pieces of butter to wear
Everything in butter? This summer it obviously is. Because butter yellow is the colour that everyone is licking their fingers for right now.
If I had to describe my spontaneous associations with the colour yellow, I would say things like sunflower, lemon, ginger, mimosa, dandelion, pineapple and banana. Not all wrong, of course. But not quite right this season either. The only relevant colour at the moment is much softer; it wants to be a lot, but definitely not overpowering: Butter yellow.
The soft, warm colour is currently flowing from the catwalks (Bottega Veneta, Jacquemus, Loewe) onto the streets and prefers to blend in with similarly restrained tones such as white, beige and powder pink.

And what is this trend doing to us? According to colour theory, yellow is said to have a positive effect on the mind and stands for cheerfulness and openness. Light yellow in particular is said to lift the mood and stimulate motivation and communication. Sounds like the ideal colour for a soft summer to me.
Always in the mood for good hits, great trips and clinking drinks.
