With a maximum temperature of 450 degrees Celsius and programmable controls, the electric pizza oven is aimed at ambitious amateur bakers who want to work independently of gas or wood.

If you regularly make your own pizza and want to achieve better results than with a classic domestic oven, the Volt 2 from Ooni comes into play. The electric pizza oven reaches significantly higher temperatures and allows you to control the top and bottom heat separately. This allows the baking process to be adapted more precisely to different types of dough and toppings. In addition to pizza, the oven is also suitable for bread, pastries or other dishes that require high and even heat.

Compact, robust, electric

The Volt 2 is the successor to the first electric Ooni oven and has been redesigned both technically and ergonomically. Its housing is made of powder-coated steel, the insulation is thick-walled and is designed to minimise heat loss. Weighing around 17.6 kilograms and measuring approximately 54 × 44 × 26 centimetres, the stove looks compact, but requires a stable base. It can be used both indoors and outdoors as it works without an open flame.

Power is supplied by a conventional socket. The power output is around 1600 watts and the Volt 2 is operated with 220-240 volts. According to the manufacturer, the oven reaches its maximum temperature of 450 °C in around twelve minutes, which is faster than conventional ovens. This means you can bake Neapolitan pizzas in around 90 seconds.

Structure and control

The baking chamber offers space for pizzas with a diameter of up to 33 centimetres. Inside is a cordierite stone that stores the heat and distributes it evenly.

You can set the temperature, baking time and the ratio between top and bottom heat separately using the digital control panel. The integrated «Pizza Intelligence» algorithm monitors the temperature in the cooking cabinet and automatically adjusts the heating elements. This ensures that the heat remains stable during baking, even when you open the door or insert a new pizza. There is also a boost function that provides additional top heat for a short time. This is useful for creating the typical «leopard pattern» on the pizza.

Three preset programmes - «Neapolitan», «Thin & Crispy» and «Pan Pizza» - are designed to make it easy to get started. You can also save two of your own favourites.

The Volt 2 can also be used for other dishes, such as bread or pastries. A viewing window with interior lighting allows you to watch the baking process without opening the door.

Care and cleaning

Ooni states that the Volt 2 requires little maintenance after use. The cordierite stone should be brushed dry after cooling to remove any residue. According to the manufacturer, you should avoid using cleaning agents or water, as this could damage the surface. A removable filter inside is designed to help reduce vapour and smoke and can be cleaned or replaced if necessary. According to the manufacturer, the filter is dishwasher-safe.

Ooni offers accessories such as pizza pans, dough tools and baking tins in our shop separately. This allows you to expand the oven - depending on the intended use - for different types of dough or baking methods, for example.
