In comparison: Stand mixers and mixing results
Blenders are a dime a dozen. Magazines report on high-speed blenders, nutrient extractors and sports blenders. The topic is also of interest to our customers and the Community, who are increasingly asking themselves how the appliances differ and what they are good for. We want to know exactly and have tested six products from our range.
What was tested
Our jury consisted of three people from Product Management, the photographer and myself.
Mix result
We tested the blending result exactly as a customer would do it. Flavour and smoothness were important to us. We also made sure that all ingredients were fully processed. If chia seeds or granules from the added raspberries were noticeable, this was a clear minus point. Mixing time and ingredients were consistent. The rating was set at 1 to 5 points.
Volume
Blending a smoothie in the morning and waking up the whole house? Not exactly what you want. For this reason, the volume of the appliances has been recorded.
Temperature
As a smoothie should not get hot, we measured the temperature. The starting temperature was 20.7 degrees for all of them. However, it should be noted here that frozen raspberries were added to the mix and the results can therefore be distorted - the same happens, of course, if you add ice to your smoothie.
Cleaning
We wanted to include this point in the evaluation, but quickly realised when hand-washing that this happens equally quickly for everyone. For this reason, we only note here whether parts of the blender can be put in the dishwasher.

Philips Avance Collection HR3652/02
This previously used appliance was provided to us as a test object. Unfortunately, a seal was missing at the bottom of the container, which we only noticed when we filled it with orange juice. As a result of this mishap, all the liquid flowed into and through the blender, making it unusable. As a result, this appliance could not be tested as the picture above suggests.
Mini blender / sports blender
The smaller mini blenders are suitable for the occasional smoothie "on the go". They often come with suitable accessories, such as a blender jug that can also be used as a drinking bottle.

Striking in comparison
The parallels between the WMF and Electrolux sports blender cannot be denied. Let someone else say they are not made in the same place ;) However, the blender jugs are different, which can significantly affect the blending result.
Conclusion
Friends, family, cats and good wine are my lifeblood.
