Bud Spencer branded beans are many things: a trip down memory lane, a funny party gift, a collector’s item for fans. But are they actually tasty?

The story behind these beans is as straightforward as a Bud Spencer movie. The son of the late film star, who passed away in 2016, has started selling canned beans according to his father’s recipe. At Galaxus, the product is flying off the shelves.

Head of Content Martin Jungfer has recounted the whole story in detail.

However, taste the beans he did not. He left that part up to me. After all, I’ve already eaten fermented fish and cat food for my employer. A few beans are child’s play for a self-proclaimed guru of gross canned goods. Watch the spectacle in the video above – or read the review here.

When I flew the family nest over 15 years ago, I suddenly had to cook for myself. But it wasn’t long until this necessity became a virtue. Today, rattling those pots and pans is a fundamental part of my life. I’m a true foodie and devour everything from junk food to star-awarded cuisine. Literally. I eat way too fast.
