How to wear denim in summer too

Is denim one of your favourite materials? Then you can't avoid a denim dress. It's not the trend of the moment for nothing.
I have a soft spot for denim in all its variations. That's why hardly a day goes by without me wearing either denim trousers or a denim jacket. Why is that? For me, there is no other fabric that is so versatile. As it's currently too warm for my much-loved denim trousers, I'm turning to denim dresses or dresses that at least look like denim. And I'm not the only one. Denim dresses are also celebrated on Instagram as they are the perfect mix of casual and chic.
Admittedly, the robust material is not everyone's cup of tea, especially on hot days. But as I'm a brat, I don't have a problem with that. On the contrary: when it's still chilly on the way to work in the morning, I'm even happy if the dress is long-sleeved. This means I don't have to carry an extra jacket and I'm prepared for air-conditioned meeting rooms. I roll up my sleeves during my lunch break or for an after-work drink. That way, I'm less warm and the outfit looks even more casual.
If denim is too warm for you, go for Lyocell models. The fabric made from wood fibres looks like denim at first glance, but is lighter and less stiff.

Styling tricks
If you opt for a dress with eye-catching details such as ruffles, take the accessories down a notch. Otherwise your outfit will look overloaded. A simple bag and shoes in nude, white or camel are the best choice. In most cases, black looks too harsh.
I would advise against wearing strappy sandals with a short dress, as they will make your legs look shorter. During the day, flat sandals or trainers are the best choice. The look becomes elegant with high heels or wedge sandals.
When it comes to jewellery, I recommend wearing several, unequal-length gold chains with a deep V-neckline. A high-neck dress, on the other hand, can be emphasised with creoles. Bracelets are the best choice for short-sleeved dresses.
If you can't see the wood for the trees: you can't go wrong with a shirt blouse dress. hell denim looks particularly casual in summer. Thanks to the classic cut, a shirt dress is not just a short summer romance, but a durable companion for warm summer days.
