Galaxus Finds: travel accessories I don’t want to be without in future

TikTok is full of people sharing their finds from Muji, Ikea and Amazon. I have some of them, but from Galaxus. That’s why I started the Galaxus Finds section. Here’s the travel edition of my favourites from our range.

Inflatable striped beach cushion

Stylish beach towels

The lightweight hammam towel by Lavie is made of 100 per cent organic cotton, is lightweight, dries quickly and is very flat when folded. But what I like most is the tie-dye pattern. It’s colourful and summery, so you can use the towel on the beach and also as a wrap skirt when your bikini’s still wet. The tie-dye makes each towel unique.

Ultralight, compressible packing cubes

The three-size Eagle Creek bag set makes packing easier because you can organise your clothes in it and fold them carefully. My packing bags are a bit older, but later models in the cube series offer similar benefits: the zip system means they compress their contents when the suitcase gets full, and they have practical handles. What’s more, the semi-transparent, water-repellent and robust ripstop fabric protects the bags from moisture and wear.

Transparent toiletry bags

You can neatly organise your cosmetics, electronics and other small items in this Horizn toiletry bag. It’s particularly useful for hand luggage, as everything is transparent. Another plus is that the PVC material is easy to clean.

Classic multitool

Nail file, tweezers, scissors, screwdriver, toothpick – the Victorinox Classic SD has all of this. Although the stylish Swiss Army knife doesn’t take up much space, it offers a lot. That makes it indispensable for me when I’m on the go.

Round belt bag

Even if you’re not a jogger, a running belt like the one by Compression is the perfect companion to store your valuables safely without wasting space. This accessory proves to be extremely practical in holiday resorts where handbags can easily be stolen. But belts like this – which are worn close to the body – are also useful at the airport. This means you can carry small items like your passport or phone with you instead of putting them in your rucksack.

Soft sleep mask

The Kitsch deluxe satin mask is so large that rays of light have no chance of disturbing your sleep on the plane or in the hotel. The material feels comfortable on the skin and the flexible elastic band ensures that you’ll hardly notice you’re wearing it. It also impresses with a stylish design in a colour that’s resistant to dark spots.
